These terms govern your use of the Geek Room platform, including browsing, creating an account and taking part in programs. By using the platform you agree to them.

  1. 01Eligibility and accounts

    You must provide accurate information when you create an account or register for a program, and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

  2. 02Programs

    Each program has its own rules, eligibility, schedule and judging criteria, published on its program page. Those rules form part of these terms for that program. Organisers may disqualify participants who break the rules or the spirit of the program.

  3. 03Code of conduct

    Geek Room is a safe space to learn. You agree not to:

    • Harass, discriminate against or intimidate other participants, mentors or staff.
    • Submit plagiarised work or work you do not have the right to use.
    • Build or share malicious software, or attempt to disrupt the platform.
    • Use the platform for spam, fraud or any unlawful purpose.

  4. 04Your content and intellectual property

    You keep ownership of the projects you build. By submitting a project you allow Geek Room and the program's partners to display it, with credit, for judging and for showcasing the program. Specific programs may set different terms, which will be stated on the program page.

  5. 05Prizes

    Prizes are awarded as described on each program page and may be subject to verification, applicable taxes and the sponsor's own terms. Organisers' decisions on results are final.

  6. 06Disclaimers and liability

    The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Geek Room is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform or participation in programs.

  7. 07Changes and termination

    We may update these terms or suspend accounts that violate them. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

  8. 08Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in New Delhi having jurisdiction.
